ust got back from Pura Vida Cornwall Wave Classic 2011 it was a great event had amazing conditions logo hight well powed up on a 4.7 simmer black tip which was amazing and i was on the new 75lit simmer fly wave board which is amazing it was so nice on the wave really loose but had full controle over it cant wait to get one thanks to farrle from simmer for letting me used it and thanks to nigel for bringing it down for me. So we got there on Thursday and had a on shore sail at Gwithian was on 5.3 and a 84lit and try out the k4 fins and really enjoyed them there really grippy and made the board feel even looser on the wave. On the Saturday it was the first day of comp, we started up at Gwithian and there was the biggest fleet of Amateurs i have ever seen at a comp they dident even get through. the first elimination so it was pretty mad hahah but really good fun i mangage to come 2nd with lewis merrony winning and i manage to win the over all year in the amateurs and lewis in 2nd so that means me and lewis have to go up in the the pros next year which should be fun so i better get a hell of a lot of training in hahah. Hopeful i am going Capetown at the end of the month for a couple of month so that should help a lot cant wait for next year let hope we have anought good year of comps again. and thanks to my sponsors for all their help. help http://www.sxwatersports.com/ http://www.simmerstyle.eu/home/Default.aspx

This weekend we went down to shoreham it was 3.7 weather for me and 4.7 weather for everyone else with a small wave board, when we first went out there was a little shore dump but once you was out it was good for freestyle, i had a night mare day on my second run i done a jump and hurt my knee so lacked confidence for the rest of the session so diddn't sail much for the rest of it but aleksy had an alright sail pulling
of some back loops forwards and and went for some shakka attempts so it was a pretty good day.

Monday i sailed the ray i was on a 4.2 and and 105lit freesty
le board it was a pretty good but it was a really big tide so the ray was really small and really shallow but it was really flat so really good for freestyle so had a really good session.

A few pics taken by nathen of a fun day at hells gate in Ireland!

2.5
Megan-
Been out today on a custom made 2.5 sail by Rob Jones at canvey, the sail felt amazing it was so powerful and light, in the gusts i was really overpowered so next time will use the 45l board with it aswell to complete the package! Can't wait for the winter to get some more 2.5 sessions, maybe even smaller?

Right so this summer has been amazing we went to ireland had loads of little road trips and went to Hayling Island :D. So we went to ireland for 2 weeks at the begining of Augest we had 1 day of really good surf on the last day it was like head and a half and pretty clean and i ended up buying a new surfboard so was really happy that i got to used it in really good condition, we had a couple of light off shore wave riding days which was good fun but pretty hard.

When we come back, we had my dads retirement do which was pretty good fun and then this weekend just gone we when to NWF and i ented the freestyle and had a go on tow in windsurfing but i could do any moves off it hahaha o well it was really good fun, then on the sunday the wind kicked in and had the freestyle comp it was really fun but dident mangage to get in to the final but it was really good to whach all the pros doing all the new air fresstyle tricks.

I got to borrow of ben proffit the new 2012 5.6 black tip it felt really nice and light and really power ful and stable and the sails look really good with really cool coulours so was a really good event.

The only way is SX watersports

This weekend we met Fransisco Goya, he was such an amazing, down to earth, funny guy, who was genuinly intrested in meeting everyone and helping everyone out! He even spent about 30minuetes teaching a learner how to water start. There's not many people that can say that they had a former world champion rig there kit up for them, but amazingly i expierenced that, when he rigged me the new bonzai 4 battern sail which was the lightest and most responsive sail me and lecky have ever tried. After a chat about maui and how his windsurfing career began me and lecky have decided that maui is the place that we most want to go! So now we have had Jason Polakow, Levi siver, and now Fransisco sailing on one of our local beaches, not bad for a estuary in the middle of essex.

Thursday, 30 June 2011

Last weekend i also went windsurfing again, but we went down camber this time with some of our friends from canvey, it was light winds when we first got there so was out on a 4.1 but then picked up towards the end so was comfortably powered up, there was some good ramps out the back and some nice little waves on the inside that was good for riding.
